Thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults in Minnesota
New patient appointments are structured to go beyond a symptom checklist — evaluations consider medical history, life context, prior treatment responses, and diagnostic nuance to build an accurate clinical formulation from the start.
Medication management is guided by current psychiatric literature and clinical best practices — not habit or convenience. When evidence is mixed or evolving, that uncertainty becomes part of the conversation with you.
You are an active participant in your treatment — not a passive recipient of recommendations. Shared decision-making is built into every visit, and coordination with your therapist or primary care provider is available with your consent. Learn about care coordination →
Every follow-up visit is with the same provider who completed your initial evaluation — allowing for meaningful monitoring of treatment response and thoughtful adjustments over time, not starting over at each appointment.
Alexandro Vasquez, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with doctoral-level preparation in advanced nursing practice. He founded Clear Path Psychiatry with a straightforward purpose: to make high-quality outpatient psychiatric care accessible to adults in rural Minnesota — not just in metro areas where options are concentrated.
His clinical approach centers on careful diagnostic evaluation and medication management grounded in current psychiatric evidence. New patient appointments are designed with sufficient time to understand not just presenting symptoms, but the broader context of a person's history, life circumstances, and prior treatment experiences. Follow-up care is built around continuity — the same provider at every visit.
Alex provides services in both English and Spanish, reflecting a commitment to reducing language as a barrier to psychiatric care for Minnesota's bilingual communities. In addition to his clinical role, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Graduate Nursing (PMHNP) Program at Winona State University.
Lindy brings a warmth to the front office that patients notice from the moment they walk in or pick up the phone. With a background in community-facing customer service, she understands that reaching out for psychiatric care takes courage — and she makes sure that first interaction feels welcoming, not clinical.
She handles scheduling, intake coordination, and day-to-day patient communication, keeping the practice running smoothly so that nothing falls through the cracks. Patients who have been with Clear Path for a while often remark that Lindy is simply a kind, consistent presence — someone they recognize and trust, appointment after appointment.
